healthcareThe Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia will lead the 2019 Purple Day celebration on Tuesday, March 26, beginning at 4:30 p.m., at the EPVA headquarters, 560 Ray C. Hunt Drive, Charlottesville.

Former UVA basketball player Justice Bartley will be present to talk of his experiences since transferring from UVA after the 2017-2018 season.  Also, Dr. Nathan B. Fountain  will give an update on the newest agents in the treatment of epilepsy.

Epilepsy touches the lives of almost 85,000 Virginians.  The Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia (“EFVA”) leads the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

The foundation was established in 1978 to promote awareness about epilepsy and provide assistance to those with the disorder.
