The name of the person killed in a tractor trailer accident on Interstate 66 in Warren County on Monday has been released. The accident occurred at the 6 mile marker on I-66 at 12:59 p.m.

Roger G. Martin, 67, of Roanoke, died at the scene. Martin was the driver of the tractor trailer.

Dawn M. Mongold, 58, of Hedgesville, W.Va., was charged with reckless driving in the accident.

According to Virginia State Police, Mongold’s Dodge Caliber was traveling on the entrance ramp to I-66 from northbound Route 522 when it lost control, ran off the left side of the ramp, crossed the westbound lanes and collided with a westbound Kenworth tractor trailer, which was traveling in the left lane.

The impact caused the tractor trailer to run off the right side of the roadway, collide with the bridge guardrail, overturn off the bridge and come to rest on northbound Rte. 522. The tractor trailer then caught fire.

The crash remains under investigation.
