A three-run Grandal homer in the bottom of the eighth lifted the Los Angeles Dodgers to a stunning 3-2 win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.

The loss was the fourth in a row for the Nats (43-29).

Roark (6-5, 3.18 ERA) took a four-hit shutout into the eighth, which began with a leadoff walk to Joc Pederson and an infield single by Yasiel Puig.

Grandal followed with a homer to left-center, his sixth of the season.

Washington got a pair of solo homers, from Bryce Harper (.258/.403/.498), his 15th of the season, and Danny Espinosa (.220/.317/.414), his 13th.

Former Waynesboro General Adam Liberatore pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the Dodgers in the seventh. Liberatore, a two-year member of the Generals (2007-8), has a 0.77 ERA in 23.1 innings this season for L.A.
