lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesDetroit beat up Ubaldo Jimenez en route to posting a 7-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night.

Jimenez (7-5, 3.29 ERA) gave up seven runs on seven hits in four and two-thirds innings, striking out five without issuing a walk, but surrendering three Tigers home runs.

J.D. Martinez hit the third of the Detroit homers, his 26th of the season, a solo shot in the fifth that chased Jimenez.

Victor Martinez and Jose Iglesias also homered. The Iglesias blast, a three-run homer in the fourth, was the big blow of the game, giving Detroit a 6-2 lead at that point.

Anibal Sanchez (9-7, 4.55 ERA) got the win for the Tigers, giving up two runs on eight hits in six innings, striking out three and walking two.
