Rasoul HeadshotDel. Sam Rasoul (D-Roanoke City) has filed paperwork to run for re-election in Virginia’s Eleventh District in the House of Delegates.

“I’m running for the House of Delegates because I believe all Virginians have the right to quality education, affordable healthcare, good jobs, and fair representation” Rasoul said. “I will continue to fight to close ethics loopholes and end gerrymandering so that people have representatives they can trust. I am also going to make sure that the Roanoke region gets its fair share from Richmond so that we have the resources needed to help people lead good lives.”

“Serving the people of the Eleventh District is a privilege I do not take lightly. I will continue to do my very best every day to make my constituents proud and fulfill my duties to all citizens of the Commonwealth,” said Rasoul.

Rasoul is in his first term in the Virginia General Assembly, during which he has placed fair redistricting, healthcare access, and early childhood development among his top priorities. Raised in the Roanoke Valley, Rasoul is a small business owner.  He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of a non-profit healthcare firm prior to being elected to the House of Delegates.
