Calling all superheroes: CASA hosting Superhero 5k

casa superhero 5kCASA for Children is hosting a Superhero 5k and Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 27th in Gypsy Hill Park.

Participants are encouraged to dress like their favorite superhero. Children participants will be given blue capes while participating in the Children’s 1 Mile Fun Run.  Activities following the race include Knockerball by Knockerball Harrisonburg, Magic Show and Storytelling.

The 5k Race starts at 8:00am, Children’s 1 Mile Fun Run is directly following.

All proceeds benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children who advocate for abused or neglected children in Staunton, Harrisonburg, Waynesboro, Lexington, Buena Vista and their surrounding counties.
