Following successful Labor Day weekend campaign stops at the Chesterfield County Fair, James Madison University, and Buena Vista Labor Day Parade and Festival, Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Robert Sarvis announced additional events over the next two weeks.
Among the upcoming slate of events is the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “Hob Nob in the Valley” on September 12. All three candidates for U.S. Senate are set to attend.
“I’m the only candidate in the race reaching out to such a diverse group of Virginians,” said Robert Sarvis, noting upcoming appearances at both Tea Party and lgbt pride events. “I look forward to sharing my vision of an America that is Open-Minded and Open for Business with voters from all over the state, of different ages, backgrounds, and ideologies.”
Tonight – Arlington Civic Federation Candidate Forum
Robert Sarvis will take part in a candidate forum at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. The full meeting/forum begins at 7:30 p.m., and Robert’s speaking slot will begin at approximately 8:45 p.m. Democrat Mark Warner and Republican Ed Gillespie have declined to participate in the forum.
Thursday, September 4 – NoVa NORML Meeting (Manassas)
The northern virginia chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws has invited Robert Sarvis to speak about his policy proposals regarding federal drug reform at its monthly meeting. The meeting is from 8:00-9:30 p.m. at Denny’s Restaurant, 8201 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA.
Saturday, September 6 – Recovery Fest/KCBS BBQ Cook Off (Richmond)
The McShin Foundation has invited Robert Sarvis to speak around 2:00 p.m., and he will be there throughout the afternoon to meet with voters and share his vision of an America that is Open-Minded and Open for Business. The event starts at noon at Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church, 2300 Dumbarton Road, Richmond, VA.
Saturday, September 6 – Sunday, September 7- Roanoke Pride Festival and Parade
The Sarvis for Senate campaign will have a booth in Elmwood Park both days of the festival. Robert Sarvis and volunteers will march in the parade on Sunday at noon.
Tuesday, September 9 – 99th District Tea Party Meeting (Lancaster County)
The 99th District Tea Party has invited Robert Sarvis to address its members. The meeting is from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Upper Lancaster Ruritan Club, 3989 White Chapel Road, Lively, VA.
Thursday, September 11 – King William County Tea Party Meeting
Robert Sarvis will address the King William County Tea Party. The meeting is from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at King William County Administration Building, 180 Horse Landing Road, King William, VA.
Friday, September 12 – Retirement Community in Northern Virginia (Ashburn)
Robert Sarvis will discuss his vision of an America that is Open-Minded and Open for Business at 10 a.m. with the Ashby Ponds retirement community 21170 Ashby Ponds Blvd, Ashburn, VA.
Friday, September 12 – Top of Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce “Hob Nob in the Valley” (Middletown)
Robert Sarvis will attend the 15th annual “Hob Nob in the Valley” at Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown from 5:30-8:00 p.m. The event features a BBQ, straw poll, and opportunity for area business leaders and voters to meet candidates for office.
Saturday, September 13 – Charlottesville Pride
Robert Sarvis will share his Open-Minded and Open for Business message with the lgbt community and allies in Charlottesville. The Sarvis for Senate campaign will have a booth at Lee Park. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
