Baltimore salvages finale in Bronx

Chris Tillman was solid again in a 4-1 Baltimore win over New York on Wednesday that broke a four-game Orioles losing streak.

Tillman (14-2, 3.18 ERA, 1.19 WHIP) gave up a run on four hits in seven innings for the O’s (54-40), striking out seven and walking two.

Jonathan Schoop (.296/.328/.510, 16 HR, 56 RBI) and J.J. Hardy (.269/.301/.407, 4 HR, 22 RBI) each had two hits and two RBI for Baltimore.
