Baltimore Orioles continue hot streak: Win at Toronto

baltimore oriolesA Chris Davis sacrifice fly broke a ninth-inning tie and lifted the Baltimore Orioles to a 6-5 win at Toronto Thursday night.

The win was the eighth in nine games for the O’s (36-23).

Davis (.220/.340/.455) had two hits on the night, including a solo homer, his 13th of the season, in the seventh, and three RBI.

Manny Machado (.305/.375/.593), who learned earlier Thursday that he will face a four-game suspension for his role in a brawl with Kansas City earlier in the week, was 2-for-5 on the night, with a first-inning RBI double.

UVA alum Tyler Wilson (2-5, 4.73 ERA) got a no-decision for his night, going five and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking three.

Dylan Bundy (2-1, 4.50 ERA) got the win in relief, giving up a hit and walking one in two and a third scoreless innings, striking out three.

Zach Britton (19 saves, 1.03 ERA) closed out the game with a 1-2-3 ninth.
