Baltimore hits Toronto, 11-6

Chris Tillman (10-1, 3.11 ERA) got the win on a sluggish day for the O’s ace, giving up four runs on five hits in five innings, striking out four, and throwing 99 pitches in the short stint.

Matt Wieters (.267/.321/.442) was 4-for-5 with a homer (7) and four RBI (32). Jonathan Schoop (.278/.307/.492) also homered (12) and was 3-for-5 with three RBI (41).

Marcus Stroman (6-3, 5.23 ERA) took the loss and a pounding, giving up seven runs on 10 hits in three and two-thirds.

Baltimore (40-28) has a one-game lead on Boston (39-29) and a three-game lead on Toronto (39-33) in the American League East.
