The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office responded on Wednesday to a report of a larceny at a business in the 2400 block of Jefferson Highway in Fishersville.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, a white male suspect entered the back lot at the business, and disabled a surveillance camera. The suspect then removed a camera processor, owned by the Virginia Department of Transportation, from a trailer parked at the business.

The processor is valued at $30,000.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the perpetrator.

Anyone with information about this Grand Larceny is requested to contact Investigator Matthew Carter at (540) 245-5333 EXT 388, or Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-2017.
