Chris Graham

Haseley_Adam_15MFreshman Adam Haseley will get the start for UVA in Game 2 of the College World Series Championship Series tonight.

Haseley (2-1, 2.66 ERA in 10 apps/4 starts, 16K/8BB in 23.2 IP, .264 opponent batting average) last pitched for the Cavs on May 23 in Virginia’s 10-2 loss to N.C. State in the ACC Tournament. Haseley got a no-decision in that appearance, going four and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out one and walking two.

That was Haseley’s longest effort of the season on the mound.

As a senior in 2014 at The First Academy (Windemere, Fla.), Haseley was one of the nation’s top two-way recruits, hitting .425 and going 6-2 with a 0.34 ERA on the mound, with 69 strikeouts in 41 innings.

The everyday center fielder and leadoff hitter for Virginia in 2015, Haseley has a .245/.340/.320 slash line with one homer, 19 RBIs, five stolen bases and has scored a team-second-best 54 runs.
