ACC Baseball: Hard as it is to believe, 2026 season begins on Friday

There’s still snowcrete on the ground in a lot of places, but no matter – the ACC Baseball season is here.

All 16 ACC Baseball programs are set to begin their 2026 seasons on Friday, headlined by the preseason favorite, #4 Georgia Tech.

State, Wake and Boston College are all headed to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Challenge, in an eight-team field that also includes Houston, Indiana State, Manhattan, Seton Hall and Washington.

Pitt and Stanford will also play at neutral sites for the opening weekend of the season. Pitt heads to Port Charlotte, Florida, for a three-game set against Western Michigan. Stanford will head to Surprise, Arizona, for three games, highlighted by a pair of games against ranked opponents:  #24 Arizona (Friday, 8 p.m. ET), before meeting #12 Oregon State on Sunday (2 p.m. ET).

Stanford will conclude opening weekend on Monday afternoon against Nebraska at 3 p.m. ET in Scottsdale.

Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech will each play host throughout the entire weekend, while Cal will play a pair of home games and a pair of road games, each of which will be against Santa Clara.

Notre Dame will be the lone ACC squad to open the season with a true road contest, heading to Boca Raton, Florida, for three games against Florida Atlantic.
