10 best foods for kids to grow taller

foodsA lot of parents wonder what the best food is for their kids to be healthy and, especially, to grow taller. We found that there are some foods that can help a child add an extra few inches to their height.

Here are the top 10 healthy foods that will help your kids grow taller and stronger according to The Health Review:

  1. Eggs

Protein is something that is critical in anyone’s diet, especially for young, growing kids. Plus, eggs are a complete protein, meaning that your child will get extra nutrients, even from a single egg. If your kids are consuming enough protein, then they are sure to grow taller.

  1. Milk

Milk is important for a couple of different reasons: 1) it contains calcium, which is instrumental for proper bone development, and 2) it is high in protein. Calcium helps build the necessary bone structure for more growth, and protein helps with the development of muscle tissue to further stimulate a growth in height.

  1. Soybeans

Soy has become increasingly more popular in this day and age. The great thing about soy is that it is rich in protein while also being vegetarian-friendly. So if your child is lactose intolerant or sensitive to animal products, then soybeans are a great food to stimulate growth without worrying about the repercussions of consuming meat.

  1. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is also high in protein while being low in fat. It is also high in healthy dietary fiber, which will keep your kids full. This is a common breakfast food that will help add an inch or two to your child’s height.

  1. Chicken

This is the most popular meat product consumed by bodybuilders and health nuts, so it is sure to help with growing your kids taller. It’s rich in protein without much fat, so it is a great healthy option for your kids.

  1. Spinach

If it can help Popeye grow, then it can help your child grow. Spinach is packed with iron and calcium, which are essential minerals for growth and bone development. This combination is sure to help with your child grow taller.

  1. Carrots

With all of that protein from the other foods on the list, carrot can help synthesize it with vitamin A. Carrots are rich in vitamin A, which is a great complement for protein. You can also choose to have your kids drink carrot juice (just be sure to watch the sugar content).

  1. Fruits

Fruits are packed with micronutrients, including vitamin A, so they make for a great way to strengthen your child’s bones. Also, fruits are delicious!

  1. Whole Grains

Whole-grain breads and pastas are a great alternative to white bread and pasta because they are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B. These vitamins and minerals encourage stronger bones and more growth.

  1. Yogurt

As a dairy product, yogurt contains vitamin D and calcium, which helps with bone density and development. Yogurt also has proteins to help with muscle growth and probiotics that help with digestion. Cheese is another dairy option that has similar characteristics.

With a balance of these foods, your kids are sure to grow up healthy and strong. Just be sure to watch the sugar content on some of these foods, but as long as you serve these foods in moderation, with these foods, your child’s diet would be extremely healthy.
