Albemarle County: One injured in early-morning shooting on Berkmar Drive

One person was injured in a shooting in the 3400 block of Berkmar Drive north of Charlottesville early Saturday morning, per a report from the Albemarle County Police Department.

The shooting was reported to police at 1:10 a.m.

The gunshot victim self-transported to UVA Health in non-life threatening condition while officers were still on scene.

No other injuries have been reported.

Community members will see a large police presence in this area while the investigation continues.
