VCU is no longer on the NCAA Tournament bubble. Sadly, for George Mason, the bubble has burst.

The Rams punched their ticket to the Big Dance with a dramatic 68-63 win over Mason in the A-10 Tournament championship game on Sunday.

How dramatic was it? The Patriots (26-8), who trailed by as many as nine in the second half, had a shot at a game-tying three in the final seconds.

Jalen Haynes rebounded a Zeb Jackson miss with 15 seconds to go, and drove the length of the court into the paint, before kicking out to Zach Anderson, who got a decent look from the right wing that rimmed out with four seconds left.

VCU (28-6) got the rebound and closed the game out at the line.

The win sends the Rams to the NCAA Tournament as the A-10 automatic qualifier.

George Mason, as the co-regular-season champ, is headed to the NIT.

Both will learn their next destinations later in the day on Sunday.
