As the open municipal shelter for Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro, the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center must keep space available for incoming dogs.
On Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., all fees are waived for “Homes for the Howl-idays Clear the Shelter” event to open space for incoming dogs involved in court cases or that are brought in by local animal control.
Animals will be available for adoption on a first come, first served basis Saturday. The early bird gets the furball, as they say.
Applications for adoption are necessary. All animals available for adoption are viewable online. Anyone already approved for an adoption is encouraged to come to the shelter in person.
