United Way to cut ribbon on new home

United Way of Greater Augusta is excited to introduce its new location to the community. The United Way of Greater Augusta will have a ribbon cutting followed by a Holiday Open House. The event will take place in the United Way’s new location at 24 Idlewood Blvd., Suite 106, Staunton.

The ribbon cutting will take place a 3 p.m. with a reception until 5 p.m.

Although United Way has only three employees, it also uses volunteer labor throughout the year. The new building gives United Way much more space, including a large multi-purpose room where the volunteers can work, training can take place, large groups can gather. United Way’s board of directors can also meet in the multi-purpose room, rather than having to go to an off-site location, as they must do now.

“We are really excited about the move as it will allow the United Way to continue its mission to improve the lives of people in our community. We think the location is key to providing greater access for the community,” said Kevin Hall, president of the Board of Directors for United Way of Greater Augusta.
