The following is a list of highway work that might affect traffic in the VDOT Staunton transportation district during the coming weeks. The Staunton district is comprised of 11 counties, Alleghany, Bath, Rockbridge, Augusta, Highland, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren and Clarke. Work scheduled is subject to change due to inclement weather and material supplies. Motorists are advised to watch for slow-moving tractors during mowing operations. Also, when traveling through a work zone, be alert to periodic changes in traffic patterns and lane closures.

WTA’s Gateway Open Mic Talent Night Competition will have its third round on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. The prize for the winner will be a $50 prize and a chance to participate in the final competition for a paid-performance at WTA’s Gateway and a professionally produced video.

“Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley is on his way to the WWE Hall of Fame at WrestleMania. His first stop after that: Night of the Superstars. The three-time former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be on hand for the Night of the Superstars, which is set for Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Waynesboro High School, Waynesboro, Va.
