AgPAC endorses Del. Bell in 20th District House race

AFP

dickie-bell3Del. Dickie Bell (R-20) last week received the endorsement of Virginia Farm Bureau Federation AgPAC, a political action committee of Virginia Farm Bureau Federation, in the race for the 20th District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Bell is among 88 candidates that VFBF AgPAC has endorsed for House seats in its initial round of endorsements. Endorsements were made based on the recommendations of local committees of farmers.

“Each of these candidates has demonstrated a clear understanding of the needs and challenges that farmers are facing and/or have proven their support through their favorable voting records while holding positions in the General Assembly.  We believe these candidates will help agriculture and forestry maintain its vitality as the number one industry in Virginia” said Wayne F. Pryor, chairman of VFBF AgPAC and VFBF president.

“I am so honored to have received the endorsement of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation AgPAC.” said Delegate Bell. “Agriculture and Forestry are critically important to the economy of this region.  I have made support for the agriculture industry in the Commonwealth a priority during my time in the House, and will continue to do so for as long as I serve. ”

The non-partisan VFBF AgPAC was created by Farm Bureau in 1999 and employs in-kind contributions and endorsements to support candidates who can best support agriculture and Farm Bureau issues. A full list of candidates endorsed by the committee can be viewed online at VaFarmBureau.org.

Elected to the House of Delegates in 2009, Delegate Bell represents the 20th District, which includes parts of Nelson and Augusta Counties, Highland County, and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro.  He is currently serving in his second term.
