A John Denver tribute artist will perform in Waynesboro on Dec. 16 offering a festive concert with holiday favorites.

Rocky Mountain Christmas starring Jim Curry will be held at the Wayne Theatre at 7 p.m.

Curry served as the singing voice of John Denver in the CBS film “Take Me Home: The John Denver Story.”  He also performed at Denver’s induction into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.

“I closed my eyes and went back to the times when I worked with John,” said Pete Huttlinger, a guitarist who performed with Denver.

Audiences will hear classics such as “Silver Bells” and “Silent Night,” along with signature John Denver songs including “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and “Annie’s Song.”

Curry is known for an authentic sound and invites audiences to clap, sing along and share the spirit of the season. From tender ballads to joyful singalongs, the evening offers a family friendly celebration of melody, storytelling and holiday cheer.

Tickets are available at www.waynetheatre.org or by calling the box office at (540) 943-9999.
