Waynesboro Heritage Museum remembers Lew DeWitt through ‘Flowers on the Wall’ exhibit

The Waynesboro Heritage Museum will honor the life and career of Lew DeWitt through an exhibit opening on Tuesday.

“Flowers on the Wall: A Tribute to Lew DeWitt and his Music” will celebrate his remarkable musical accomplishments including his time in the Statler Brothers and his solo career.

The new exhibit by Judy Wells DeWitt is in cooperation with the Waynesboro Heritage Foundation. The exhibit includes DeWitt’s background, stories, fun facts and awards.

His music appeared in “Pulp Fiction,” “Smokey and the Bandit II” and “Dolly.”

DeWitt died in 1990 at the age of 52.

The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The Waynesboro Heritage Museum is located at 420 W. Main St. in Downtown Waynesboro.
