Washington Nationals blast Atlanta Braves, 15-1

nationals_logoRyan Zimmerman had another big night with four RBI, and Jordan Zimmerman gave up two hits in six innings, leading the Washington Nationals to an easy 15-1 win over the Atlanta Braves on Thursday night in Nationals Park.

Jordan Zimmerman (12-8, 3.38 ERA) gave up a run on two hits in six innings of work, striking out five and walking four.

The offense did its job against the Braves staff. Ryan Zimmerman was 3-for-3 with four RBI, and Clint Robinson also had a four-RBI night.

Yunel Escobar had three hits and three runs batted in for the Nats (68-65), who moved to six games back of the idle New York Mets in the National League East race.
