The contracts of the three coordinators on the staff of UVA Football coach Tony Elliott – offensive coordinator Des Kitchings, defensive coordinator John Rudzinski, special teams coordinator Keith Gaither – are set to expire in March.

I checked today with the Freedom of Information Act office at the University of Virginia, and the folks there got back to me in record time to help me confirm that, by sending me the current contracts for each of the three.

None have re-upped at this stage.

Kitchings and Rudzinski signed extensions in January 2024 that increased their overall compensation to $925,000 for the 2024 season and $975,000 for the 2025 season.

Gaither signed his extension in December 2023; his total compensation was set at $360,000 per year for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

The timing suggests that the front office would be working now on new deals for each of the three.
