The John Reid porn thing got weirder | Would you believe, gay Nazi porn?

The gay porn issue that had Virginia Republicans wanting to dump lieutenant governor nominee John Reid from the 2025 ticket has resurfaced, and the new story is worse than the issue being just gay porn – it’s, apparently, gay Nazi porn, which, yes, most of us are learning this week, is a thing.

Reid, who is openly gay, so that’s not a factor in any of this – well, except, maybe, the base is socially conservative, and gay doesn’t fit into the identity there – had already conceded to having viewed gay porn.

Plenty of closeted MAGAs look at gay porn – there’s a reason Grindr keeps shutting down in cities around big Republican events, like last year’s national party convention, and this year’s Charlie Kirk memorial.

Gay Nazi porn, though – well, we’d have to assume, sure, the fact that it exists means there’s an audience for it; but the trick is, not getting caught.

“To seek pleasure from themes of slavery and bondage is sick. It’s disgusting, too disgusting to even put into words,” said Mike Jones, a Democratic state delegate, addressing the gay Nazi porn thing this week.

If you were thinking gay Nazi porn was “Hogan’s Heroes” with a Sgt. Schultz character saying “I see nothing, I hear nothing,” yeah, no.

According to reporting from American Journal News, which broke the latest story on the Reid porn thing, the Tumblr account said to be associated with Reid that Republicans had flagged during an internal campaign audit to identify candidate vulnerabilities shared disturbing content from a male college student in his underwear who used the screenname obedientn****rdc.

The stars help you spell out one of the two n-words that Donald Trump wishes he could say out loud – not “nuclear,” because he went ahead and said “nuclear,” but the other one.

To be fair, the underwear photo was the only post that the account associated with Reid shared from obedientn****rdc, but it’s also fair to share that, man, that obedient kid was into some wild stuff.

The bio for that account described the user as a “subservient n****r who knows his place in society” and invited “superior white men” to get in touch.

Posts from the kid referred to White men as “SSirs, and detailed thirst for “conservative alpha males” like U.S. Sens. John Thune and Todd Young.

Two reposts from the purported John Reid Tumblr came from a user named slaveandy, one showing a man in bondage gear using a necktie to choke a guy.

Where obedientn****rdc comes across as, well, subservient, as the bio related, slaveandy was just plain weird – according to the American Journal News report, slaveandy’s posts included “men being forced to eat from dog bowls, locked in cages, or having their genitals mutilated. One depicted a man’s anus spread with a speculum and used as an ashtray.”

These details, we can now assume, were known to Republicans back in the spring when Glenn Youngkin was trying to force Reid off the 2025 ticket.

This is Mark Robinson – you remember him, the North Carolina MAGA gubernatorial nominee from just last year – all over again.

The twist here: Reid is White, and his long-time partner, Alonzo Mable, is Black.

It’s too late to get Reid off the ticket, and anyway, he’s been defiant on this since the efforts back in April and May to get him to, first, quietly step aside, and then, when that didn’t work, to just slink away in embarrassment.

Reid is trailing the Democrat in the lieutenant governor race, State Sen. Ghazala Hashmi, by double-digits, but then, so is the rest of the MAGA Republican ticket.

The first obvious thing that Reid does at this point is diminish whatever enthusiasm there may have been among the MAGA base for him, and maybe for the rest of the ticket – Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, who is running for governor, and Attorney General Jason Miyares, who is running for re-election.

There is another factor at play here: both Earle-Sears and Miyares are attempting to play the hits from the setlist with throwbacks to the 2021 Youngkin campaign ads hitting Democrats on trans issues in schools.

The new spots have been getting heavy airplay on the sports that I’m watching on TV, which you would think, in terms of demographics, would include a fair number of MAGAs, who the Republicans are trying to remind, Hey, get out there and vote, because the Ds are twisted.

I can see an, ahem, unaffiliated PAC running its own ads going way, way low on the John Reid gay Nazi porn thing.

I mean, wall to effing wall, through the MLB playoffs, every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the NFL and college football.
