Staunton: California man extradited to Virginia, facing child porn charges

A California man was extradited to Staunton and has been charged with multiple child pornography offenses in Virginia.

Jeziel Marinnavarrete, 21, of San Bernardino, is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail, according to the Staunton Police Department.

Marinnavarrete has been charged with:

  • one count of taking indecent liberties with a minor
  • one count of carnal knowledge of a child 13 to 15 years old
  • eight counts of producing or distributing child pornography
  • eight counts of knowingly possessing child pornography

He was taken into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Fugitive Task Force.
