State Fair tickets now on sale at numerous ticket outlet locations

state-fairFans of the State Fair of Virginia can spend less time in line and more time enjoying the fair—and save money—with tickets purchased from numerous ticket outlets or online.

Adult and youth/senior General Admission tickets are available at the weekday price—$12 for adults and $8 for youth (5 to 12) and seniors (60 or older)—but can be used on any one day during the fair’s 10-day run. That represents a savings of as much as $3 when the tickets are used on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Children 4 and younger will be admitted free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Tickets are available at BB&T bank locations in BB&T’s Central Virginia region, which includes Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg and Petersburg; Martin’s Food Markets in the Richmond, Ashland, Tri-Cities and Williamsburg areas; Call Federal Credit Union branches; and the Caroline County Visitor Center.

General Admission tickets and season passes also can be purchased online atStateFairVa.org through Sept. 23.

General admission tickets include all concerts, exhibits and attractions. Admission does not include rides, but ride tickets and Unlimited Ride Wristbands will be available for purchase inside the fair. Visit StateFairVa.org for information on all available discounts and ticket options.

Parking at The Meadow Event Park is free.

The 2014 State Fair of Virginia will open Sept. 26 and run through Oct. 5. Information is available at StateFairVa.org.

The State Fair is held each fall at its permanent home at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County. The fair’s mission is to increase agricultural and natural resource awareness and interest through educational programs, exhibitions and competitions in a fun, family-friendly setting.
