Senate Intel Vice Chairman Mark Warner on OIG report

Chris Graham

mark warnerU.S. Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, issued the following statement on “A Review of Various Actions by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice in Advance of the 2016 Election,” released today by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General.

“The release of this Inspector General report confirms what has been clear for some time: though FBI leadership made errors in judgment in the run-up to the election, those actions were not influenced by any political bias and, if anything, helped Donald Trump’s candidacy. President Trump will surely attempt to use this report to discredit the ongoing criminal investigation into his campaign, so let’s be clear: this report has absolutely nothing to do with the Mueller investigation, which must be allowed to conclude without interference from the President.

“It’s important to remember today that President Trump has already said, on camera, why he fired James Comey – to stop the Russia investigation. No claims the Administration might make will change that fact.”

Glenn Youngkin goes on Sean Hannity podcast to plead for job with Trump

Glenn Youngkin desperately wants a job in the Trump regime, for a reason that I can’t put my finger on: Youngkin has a net worth of $400 million, most of that his equity in the ghastly private-equity firm he led before he ran for governor in 2021.
