Richmond Police: Speed a factor in fatal motorcycle crash on Sunday

A 26-year-old Richmond man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a utility pole on Sunday.

Kevin Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have determined that the speed of the motorcycle was a factor in the crash.

The accident occurred at 11:15 a.m. on the 1200 block of Broad Rock Boulevard.

The Richmond Police Department crash team responded to the scene and is investigating the fatal accident.
