Lynchburg Police investigate report of firearm after hours at E.C. Glass High School

A student with a BB gun at E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg prompted an investigation by police into the incident Tuesday evening.

The Lynchburg Police Department responded to the high school campus at 3:45 p.m. for a tip that a student had a firearm on the property.

Police and school staff quickly identified the student, a juvenile male.

No threats were made, according to police, and there were no injuries in the incident that occurred after normal school hours.

No one has been charged in the incident.

It remains an active and ongoing investigation.
