
The work involves drilling and extracting core samples to determine the subsurface soil conditions. Those investigations are done as part of the engineering to prepare for the relocation of underground utilities prior to construction of the Rio Road grade-separated intersection.
Motorists should be alert for directional signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone, slow down and be alert for workers and equipment near the travel lanes.
