The victim in last night’s homicide incident has been identified Kasim Holmes, 31, of Lynchburg. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives are continuing to follow up on leads and gather information.
Police in Lynchburg responded to a malicious wounding call Monday night and found a man dead from a gunshot wound.
The Lynchburg Police Department reported to a home in the 1100 block of Rivermont Avenue at 8:58 p.m.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
