The Creative Artists Agency has sealed a deal with former Vice President Kamala Harris for speaking and publishing opportunities.

CAA, one of Hollywood’s top talent agencies, posted the news on Instagram Wednesday.

Former President Joe Biden, former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have all signed with CAA.

“CAA will work closely with Harris on her post-White House initiatives, creating strategic opportunities that expand her platform in support of the issues she has championed throughout her decades-long career in public service,” the agency wrote on Instagram.

After an unsuccessful bid in 2024 for president of the United States and serving as Biden’s vice president from 2020 to 2024, Harris returned to her home state of California on Jan. 20. Within days, Harris was in California helping hand out donations for victims of the wildfires.

Harris is reportedly considering writing a book about her 107-day journey as the Democratic nominee, second woman and first minority woman to run for U.S. president.

“The vice president is a historic figure with an incredible story to tell, from her leadership to tackle COVID, rebuild the economy and to protect the rights of women in this nation. People love her — 70-plus million, in fact. And I can imagine they’re desperate for her to pull back the curtain on her groundbreaking journey from a child of immigrants to commanding the mantle of the most powerful country in the world,” said Ashley Etienne, Harris’ former vice presidential communications director.

The Truths We Hold earned Harris No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list in 2019 during her first presidential campaign and shared the story of her childhood as the child of immigrant parents, growing up in California, her time as Attorney General of California, her 2016 bid for U.S. Senate and being at odds with the Trump administration.

She also released a children’s picture book in 2019, Superheroes are Everywhere, and a memoir, Smart on Crime, in 2010.

Media have begun speculating whether Harris will run for governor of California in 2026 and again for president in 2028. The L.A. Times reported that recent polling showed she would have a 46 percent advantage with voters who would somewhat or very likely vote for her for governor. The poll was sponsored by UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies and The Times.

California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom is in his second term and ineligible to run again in 2026. Candidates includes Los Angeles’ first Latino mayor in more than 100 years, Antonio Villaraigosa; the first female and first out LGBTQ leader of the state Senate, Toni Atkins; the sitting lieutenant governor and first woman to hold the position, Eleni Kounalakis; the state superintendent of public instruction, Tony Thurmond; and the former state controller, Betty Yee.

Harris has until March 2026 to decide if she wants to run in either race.
