The newest class of grads from The Funny Womacks’ Stand-Up Comedy Class get to perform in front of a live audience for the first time on Friday.

Break a leg, amirite?

The graduates – Steve Gregory, Murphy Irby, Derek Dye, “CB” Christopher Brantley and Tom Shelnutt – are the featured performers at the Comedy Class Graduation Showcase, which is set for Friday at 7 p.m. at The Offices in Downtown Harrisonburg.

“This showcase is one of our favorite nights of the year,” said Dawn Womack, one-half of The Funny Womacks, with her husband, Chris. “It’s inspiring to see people step out of their comfort zone and make an audience laugh for the first time. These students have worked hard and they’re ready to shine!”

Why Attend? If you love discovering new talent and supporting local creatives, this is your chance to be part of something special. The show is a celebration of courage, community, and comedy—a place where laughter brings people together and new voices find their spotlight. Audience members often leave saying it’s one of the most heartwarming and entertaining events they’ve attended.
