The Charlottesville Police Department is expanding the search effort for Samuel Lee Houchens, who was reported missing on Friday, June 22. The search commencing this morning will be based at Quarry Park on Quarry Road in Charlottesville and focus on Moores Creek and surrounding areas.
The Charlottesville Police Department will utilize resources on ground, on water and in the air. Assistance is being provided by search and rescue personnel with the Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office. At this time, volunteers are not being sought to assist with the search effort.
Mr. Houchens is a 53 year old white male with brown hair thinning on top, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and 160 lbs. Mr. Houchens was last seen late Wednesday night, June 20, 2018 at 1623 Meridian Street. Mr. Houchens has limited mobility and often uses a wheel chair, however, he may be on foot.
