Cancer Prevention Study 3 kickoff next week at Augusta Health

Cancer Prevention Study 3 (CPS3), a national study by the American Cancer Society to better understand the lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer—and so eliminate it as a major health concern—will be hosted locally in September by Augusta Health and the Waynesboro YMCA.

The Kickoff Celebration, to help recruit those interesting in participating in the study and those who would like to recruit friends, family and co-workers as study participants, will be Tuesday, June 25 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Augusta Community Care Building on the Augusta Health campus.  Speakers will include Delegate Steve Landes, a teen cancer survivor from Waynesboro and staff from Augusta Health, the Waynesboro YMCA and the American Cancer Society.
