Bumgarner, Giants drop Orioles, 6-2

Madison Bumgarner threw seven scoreless innings in a 6-2 San Francisco Giants win over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night.

Bumgarner (11-7, 2.11 ERA, 1.00 WHIP) gave up three hits, struck out eight and walked three.

Kevin Gausman (3-10, 4.04 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) lasted just four innings in taking the loss, giving up two runs on two hits, striking out nine and walking six, throwing 97 pitches, 45 for strikes.

The loss drops the O’s (65-51) a half-game behind Toronto (66-51) in the AL East.
