One more inconvenience: Broad Street bridge in Waynesboro closed on Friday

After more than nine months of work on the bridge on Broad Street over the South River in Waynesboro that disrupted traffic flows on the east side of town, there’s one more inconvenience related to the project on the schedule.

The bridge will be closed on Friday from 3-6:30 p.m. for a grand opening ceremony.

As was the case during construction, traffic will be diverted to main street during the ceremony.
