Samantha Clarke was 19 when she left her home in Orange on the evening of Sept. 13, 2010, not to be seen again by her family.
The Aware Foundation is working to bring attention to her case, in hopes that what happened to Samantha can be resolved.
The Town of Orange Police Department reclassified her case in 2021 from being a missing-person investigation to an active abduction and homicide investigation, citing new information and advancements in forensic technology.
Randy Taylor, who is serving two life sentences in the 2013 murder of Alexis Murphy, a 17-year-old from Nelson County, is a person of interest in the Clarke case; phone records have shown that Taylor called Clarke multiple times on the night that she vanished.
