Elvis is coming to the Valley! On Friday, April 27, from 6-10 p.m., the Staunton Performing Arts Center will present An Evening with Elvis at Dice’s, 216 Frontier Drive, Staunton.
Bob Lunger, local attorney and actor, will portray Elvis, who will be appearing with the band Graceland Express. Come on down for a nostalgic evening with the King of Rock ‘n Roll.
Bob Lunger has performed as Elvis with numerous bands in Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. He received a degree in performing arts from the University of Mary Washington in 1993 and has been a regular in the local performing arts scene since returning to the Valley in 2006. Over the years Bob has enjoyed taking Elvis from fire houses, hospitals and group homes to Masonic Lodges and the Homestead Resort. By day, Bob is a lawyer with the law firm of Wharton Aldhizer and Weaver.
The members of Graceland Express are local musicians Chris Cole on drums, John Hoy on guitar, Dennis Hutchins on bass, Bart Lawhorne on guitar, and Dale Roller on keyboards.
Tickets are $30.00 and seating will be limited. Call the Staunton Performing Arts Center office to make your reservation at 540-885-3211. VISA, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted for reservations. Beer, wine, and food will be available during the evening for purchase with cash. Patrons must be 21 years or older to attend. SPAC has rented Dice’s for the evening. This will be a smoke-free event.
All ticket proceeds will benefit the Staunton Performing Arts Center’s mission to create a center for live arts at the historic Dixie Theatre and adjacent Arcadia Building.
