The victim in a motorcycle accident on U.S. 501 Sunday has been identified by the Lynchburg Police Department.
Theodore Edward Dow, 37, of Bedford, died in a single-vehicle accident in Lynchburg on Sunday at 5:21 p.m.
Dow died at the scene.
Officers from the LPD and personnel from the Lynchburg Fire Department responded to the crash in the southbound lanes of U.S. 501, just before the Wards Road exit.
The cause of the accident remains under active investigation by the Lynchburg Police Department.
