Melanie Knowles was invited to the Oct. 1 Girl Scout “100 Years of Service” camporee to kick off the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts, which was formed in 1912.

She offered the youngest attendees information about the senior center and the Meals on Wheels program.  The Girl Scouts crafted refrigerator magnets for Meals on Wheels recipients and looked at a display board.

Many thought that members of the senior center on display were “really talented” with some of the crafts they had completed.  Price Rotary had recently been honored to have Girl Scout Heather Graham complete her silver badge by volunteering to improve landscaping at the entrance and build planter boxes.
