Churchville Senior Center: CSC traveled the old roads to memories

Churchville Senior Center members planned a trip for the month: a journey to Deerfield, through Marble Valley and back to Craigsville.

Many of the members have lived in the area or have family there. The weather was perfect; skies blue, a sunny day, and not too hot. Nearly every turn held memories and stories the members shared. Members new to the area were enthralled by the tales, and laughter abounded at the antics of some well-remembered relatives and friends.

The trip was popular; 16 members required two vans. Lunch was enjoyed at BGs Restaurant in Craigsville, where the food was excellent and the company even better. Riders of the two different vans swapped stories, and the day was as perfect as a day can be, ending at the cheese shop in Churchville, where everyone bought treats to take home for the weekend.
