The WWRC Foundation will host nationally recognized comedian and motivational speaker Brett Leake for a benefit performance on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Auditorium in Fishersville, VA. The ACLU of Virginia on Monday sent a letter to the Fairfax County School Board thanking the Board and Superintendent for upholding free speech in two recent incidents: a parent’s attempt to have a book removed from the curriculum, and a request that a community group be denied permission to use school property for a controversial meeting. The school division denied the requests in both instances.

Virginia freshman guard Justin Anderson (Montross, Va.) was named ACC Rookie of the Week Monday. Anderson averaged 15.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals as Virginia (17-6, 7-3 ACC) claimed a pair of key ACC wins over Clemson and Maryland.
