DASCOM Jiangmen ChinaDASCOM® Americas, a recognized leader in complete business printing solutions and marketer of Tally® and Tally DASCOM® serial matrix, specialty, and thermal printers announced it has acquired 9.4 acres of land as a building site for its Americas’ headquarters in Augusta County.

The company is part of DASCOM Holdings, a diverse, business conglomerate, located in Hong Kong, and doing business in 86 countries around the globe.

DASCOM Americas will continue to focus on business transaction printing from its new facility, but is also expanding its business to include LED Lighting Solutions, which will be marketed under the SONARAY® brand name, and a line of healthy lifestyle monitoring devices.  Today, these products are engineered and built in Jiangmen, China. The new Americas’ headquarters will provide opportunity for expansion with planned assembly of products in the U.S. facility in the future.

Ron Acorn, President of DASCOM Americas, said of the land acquisition; “DASCOM Americas is delighted to work with the great people of Augusta County in locating our new facility here.   The site provides us with excellent logistical advantages including being nearby to major interstates with relatively close proximity to many of our key strategic business partners and customers.  We know this area and its people have a work ethic that is second to none.  As we look to expand our business, Mill Place seems like a perfect home.”

“Virginia is honored to add the headquarters of DASCOM Americas to its roster of impressive companies that call the Commonwealth home,” said Governor Bob McDonnell. “Augusta County provides the right business environment, infrastructure and room to grow as the company considers a future expansion to move product assembly from China to the U.S. We warmly welcome DASCOM Americas to Augusta County and Virginia.”

“We are pleased that DASCOM Americas has chosen Augusta County as the new home for its US facility,” said Jeffrey A. Moore, Chairman of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors.  “Augusta County supports the innovation and new technology cultured by DASCOM Americas and welcomes the company as one of its industry partners.”
