The George Mason men’s basketball team erased a 13-point deficit and cut the score to a one possession ballgame within the final minute of play, but could not pull out a win as Old Dominion survived a 71-66 victory Saturday night in the Ted Constant Convocation Center. Preliminary reports from the Virginia State Police indicate that 20 individuals lost their lives in 19 separate traffic crashes over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays in Virginia. In 2012, a total of 16 people died in traffic crashes during each of the four-day holiday statistical counting periods.

Gov. Bob McDonnell today announced the membership for the newly-created Task Force on Improving Mental Health Services and Crisis Response.
