The top-ranked UVa. baseball team begins its highly-anticipated 2014 season this weekend when it competes in the Hughes Bros. Challenge in Wilmington, N.C. UNC Wilmington will host the event at Brooks Field; the Cavaliers will face Kentucky at noon Friday, VMI at noon Saturday and the host Seahawks at 2 p.m. Sunday.

ODU football Head Coach Bobby Wilder announced that 24 student-athletes signed on Wednesday to play football for the Monarchs in the fall of 2014. The 24 student-athletes that signed today join the seven commitments that Old Dominion signed at the mid-year period in December.

VMI head coach Sparky Woods today announced the signings of the 2014 football recruiting class. The group features 14 signees including nine that are defensive players. Eight come from the state of Virginia, and six from out-of-state. Six states are represented in this year’s signing day class.
