Fishburne, off to its first 8-0 start in football since 1913, will host North Cross in a state semifinal playoff game in Waynesboro on Saturday, Nov. 10. Kickoff is at noon for the playoff game at Fishburne Military School. FMS is the #2 seed in the Virginia Independent Schools state playoffs. North Cross is the #3 seed.

Oh, yeah. It won’t be spooky out there tonight at all, it being Halloween, and the Waynesboro area being under a wind advisory. The National Weather Service issued the wind advisory to be in effect from midnight to 8 a.m. Friday. The strongest winds are expected between 4-8 a.m., with gusts up to 50 mph and sustained winds in the 15-30 mph range.
