
Keswick Road bridge closed Aug. 10-14
A short segment of Route 731 (Keswick Road) in Albemarle County will be closed for one week beginning Monday, Aug. 10 while crews replace the bridge over Carroll Creek.

Route 635 (Augusta Farms Road) will be closed at the intersection of Route 608 (Tinkling Springs Road) in the Fishersville area of Augusta County nightly from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, August 9, to Thursday, August 13, to replace a portion of the road.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled overnight and early-morning lane closures on Interstate 64 eastbound in Augusta County during the week of August 3-8.

The following work is scheduled, weather permitting, on the Route 29 corridor in Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville during the upcoming week. Speed limits may be reduced and traffic movements may be restricted within highway work zones.

Highway work in the Lynchburg VDOT District requiring road/lane./structure closures is scheduled, weather permitting.

Overnight left lane closures are scheduled for Interstate 81 northbound near the West Virginia state line on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, July 28-29, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Starting on Wednesday the Virginia Department of Transportation will implement changes to the daytime traffic signal timing and sequencing at the intersection of East Rio Road and John Warner Parkway in Albemarle County.

Paving operations will continue on northbound Interstate 81 between exit 227 and the Middle River bridge, between mile markers 228 and 237 for crossover paving, and at the ramps at exit 235 in Augusta County.

The traffic signal on Route 29 at the northern entrance to the Shops at Stonefield will go into full operation at 7 a.m. Monday.

In an effort to provide employment opportunities, Lane-Corman Joint Venture comprised of The Lane Construction Corporation, Corman Construction, and several subcontractors will hold a job fair for the Route 29 Solutions highway improvement projects.
