Interstate 81 closing northbound lane near Weyers Cave Thursday night for slope repair

i81-headerThe Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled an overnight lane closure for Interstate 81 northbound in Augusta County near Weyers Cave. The left lane will be closed from 8 p.m. tonight (Thursday, October 8) until 7 a.m. Friday morning. This closure will allow crews to make slope repairs in the median at mile marker 234.4, about one mile south of exit 235 (Weyers Cave/Grottoes).

All work is weather permitting.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
